      MP: $6.89 (172.3 bb)
      Hero (CO): $5.89 (147.3 bb)
      UTG: $2.05 (51.2 bb)
      SB: $4.83 (120.8 bb)
      BTN: $4.69 (117.3 bb)
      BB: $5.33 (133.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9 Q
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.12, BTN calls $0.12, 2 folds

      Flop: ($0.30) A 9 A (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.29, Hero calls $0.29

      Turn: ($0.88) J (2 players)
      Hero checks, BTN checks

      River: ($0.88) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.63, Hero calls $0.63

      $2.14 pot ($0.10 rake)
      Final Board: A 9 A J 4
      Hero showed 9 Q and won $2.04 ($1 net)
BTN showed 7 5 and lost (-$1.04 net)

villain is fairly loose, doesn't have rebuy on and seems fairly active.

on the flop i decided to check call because i think this guy can bet worse hands that would otherwise fold on this flop, and he doesn't have to flop trips that much here. should i have cbet here to protect my equity and get value from his FD or is this okay?

on the turn i probably check/fold but once he checks back i doubt he has Ax or a flush so he might have turned Jx but it's not that likely so i just check/called the blank river. is this okay?

      Hi DrDunne,

I only like ck/calling this flop if we have any reason to believe that villain bluffs often so I prefer to bet/fold.

AS played the river ck/call is close (but I'd call too) because some passive fish can check the river back because they are afraid of the flush (with Ax/Jx) but we don't need to be good often and he still have a chance to bluff.
