I had noticed this player 3betting quite a bit and he had a high 3bet stat. I felt it was a good hand to 3bet with as I had the Ace blocker. Is my thinking ok?

If he shoves I fold of course

      Hi Kevin,

Preflop: Your train of thought is perfect here.

We have a steal/resteal position in CO vs BTN.
      We have an aggro player.
We have an Ax blocker and we are OOP.

Thus 4-bet bluff is fine and our larger size is fine due to the effective stacks and his larger 3-bet.

I meant to mention the stacks actually. With the larger stacks this 4bet is even better as villain is less likely to shove light yes?

Theoretically yes, but villains then start calling 4-bets so we still want some playability/blockers and also to make our 4-bet larger (like you did).
