Do you think I missed value on the river? Ax might call a small river bet

      Hi Kevin,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I think that we definitely missed value with 2p there.

Qx will most likely call another bet and villain may have some Ax that calls as well. So we should bet at least 1/2 pot if not more.

      Why did you check there?

I think it was to do with stack sizes. If I bet over $2 here that is around half villains stack and I wasnt very confident calling a shove even though I would have odss against his range if I include Ax hands

I'd play here for stacks, even on the river. Your opponent should rarely if ever have sets here on his range. Also AQ/A7 had definitely raised you earlier for protection.

Only smart combo would be A5 that beats you on river, but that's just so rare he has it. And I guess he can't ever fold AJ/AT/A9 etc. to a 1/2 pot size bet here, coz you could still be betting on river with busted FD's, which widens your range a lot.

What hands are you really afraid off?

What beats us here that plays like that?

As Cpallo said above probably only A5 and maybe 64hh but thats so unlikely.

My river aggression is far less than my flop and turn aggression which I am trying to work on.

Yeh, this would be a good spot to start with. You want to work on your valuebets first and then bluffs (on the river).

      Hi Bogdan!

Would you go for a value (~1/2, even less) on the river, if we had Ah2h?

We can still get value from Qx and we`re loosing only to few flop Ax floats (c/c rather).

With the Ah we can still go for a bet but it's much thinner. 1/2 sounds about right.
