      Hey,

zoom - no reads on villain, sorry.

I donked here 'cos I wasn't sure what else to do, all other options seemed less appealing. I guess overcards and 44-77 will call this so it is for value a bit... Is this a suitable donk spot? Is there ever a suitable donk spot?

On the turn I bet to realise my equity and fold out any random floats that didn't believe my flop bet. Also I was thinking bet turn for a free showdown. Is this a pointless exercise? Obv. given his line I think I'm never ahead at the river so I fold. I'd have folded to anything >1/3 pot sized I think.

      Thanks.

      Hi.

Maybe you get some value with a flop bet, but the Turn bet mostly isolates you vs stronger hands.

Donk betting is a bad option. Check/call is by far the best option - we let our opponent cbet his entire range and we can happily check call once or twice at the very least.

Here if you donk and get raised, you are completely lost. Sure people do raise vs donk bets quite a lot but you are readless and that would be an unpleasant situation.

I prefer calling 1 bet, rather than betting 1 bet myself on the Flop. Amount of money that goes into the pot is similar, but in situation 1, villain can bluff, while in situation 2, villain probably folds his KQ type of hands.

      Thanks.
