this is a pretty standard hand but i just wanna check my thinking.

villain is unknown: 30/25 over 22 hands. so he's been active, has raised a few hands and called once or twice.

      preflop: standard
i didn't cbet here since i don't think 77 will fold to a cbet and then i'll need to bet the turn as well if i want him to fold 77-TT and i can't be sure that will even work. i know i can bet for value vs the FD but i think my main priority with this hand is pot control.

i can't stab for the same reasons and my range is a lot weaker now that i didn't cbet the flop so he will be more inclined to call...

river: it hits his preflop range a lot now so i was just going to fold to a bet.

You should half pot it here. It's mostly a protection bet, since 66 is very vulnerable with so many possible overcards. Occasionally you get called by a hand like AQ which checks down, or maybe 5X/2x even, so there could be some value.
