Poker Stars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) - Poker Stars Converter Tool from

      SB ($25.10)
      BB ($25)
      Hero (UTG) ($45.78)
      MP ($40.48)
      Button ($25)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9, 9
Hero bets $0.87, MP calls $0.87, 1 fold, SB raises $2.90, 1 fold, Hero calls $2.13, MP calls $2.13

      Flop: ($9.25) 4, 3, 2 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP bets $6, 1 fold, Hero raises $14, MP raises $31.48 (All-In), Hero calls $23.48

      Turn: ($84.21) Q (2 players, 1 all-in)

      River: ($84.21) 10 (2 players, 1 all-in)

      Total pot: $84.21

      Results below:

Hero had 9, 9 (one pair, nines).
MP had 6, 7 (high card, Queen).
      Outcome: Hero won $82.21

      Thought procces:

      Villain calls Pre relatively light. VPIP: 38 / PFR 24 / AF: 5,6 / 37 Hands

I had seen that he had been playing super aggressive postflop, and also 3-betting and 4-betting alot, so I put him on a very wide range preflop.

After SB checks on that flop I expect him to check/fold overcards.
I check back to see what the aggressive MP is up instead of leading.
After he leads fairly quickly I first thought he must had a flushdraw or an overpair, and never a set. (he would slowplay a set, even on wet flops)

From that info I shouldn't be re-raising, and just folding, but I thought he played a reverse kind of game, which means he bets aggressively when semi-bluffing and on boards where he got a bottom-middle pair. Never something strong or really strong.

This play was pure read dependant, but in retrospect I analyzed the hand and came up with possible hands he could have.

      KhQh, KhJh, QhJh, KhTh, QhTh, JhTh, Ah9h, Qh9h, Jh9h, Th9h, Ah8h, 9h8h, Ah7h, 8h7h, Ah6h

vs my 99 I have an equity of 49 %

What can I do different here to alter my thought procces for the better.

I had 37 hands on him and I saw how he played alot of his hands, so my feel for him was pretty good.

      Cheers, InTheZ0ne

I think you've mistaken the forum - this should be posted in BSS.
Anyways, I'd give you my opinion.

Preflop I prefer folding against the 3bet here.
We are just 100bb deep and we are not sure if MP calls here, plus SB's range is quite strong here.

As played preflop, I'd definitely bet the flop after SB checks.
When MP bets we are definitely in a tough spot and I wouldn't really mind just folding since we are OOP and he could easily have sets or some good draws against which we stand pretty bad plus there are a lot of bad turn cards.
I really don't like raise/stacking off here since I doubt that we will be in good shape overall, also considering we have less than 40 hands on him, so I'd probably just fold against his bet and wait for a better spot.
