Fi plays 39/10 afq 1.5, WTSD 12(17), no other reads.

Raise pf to get more chances to stack the fish and I dominate a lot of his SCs etc. which I believe is in his limprange. OTR, not sure about betsize.. almost timed out so just clicked it up basically. There could be a lot of worse straights in his range here, so should I just shove?

      Hey lodinn,

Preflop iso is pretty loose and unnecessary with J8o, it's not like villain is open-limping any 2 UTG, but it will just about be OK with position on weaker opponent.

Turn semi-bluff is ok when villain checks twice, you should take it down a reasonable amount.

Calling vs his check-raise is marginal. You need 18% equity to make the call as a result of direct pot odds. If all 8 outs are clean you have 16% equity. 4 of your outs will be questionable due to flushes however and you may suffer from some reverse implieds with these. (Even an offsuit Q doesn't give you the nuts.) Possibly the implieds you have with your 4 clean outs will outweigh the reverse implieds you have with your tainted 4 outs (and your deficiency in pot odds). It's close though and by no means a mandatory call.

Against this type of opponent shoving river is quite possibly the best option. 2pair/worse-straights/sets all may call.
