      I hit the set but the flop was really connected and I knew there is a big chance he actually has A5 here, given his bet sizing I was inclined to call it down to showdown, what should I have taken into consideration here?

      Preflop: I agree with the limp/complete here versus so many guys

      Postflop: While villain can have a better hand there are also overpairs/tp/pair+draw that can raise there for value.

      Why are we playing our hand so passive?

      Against his stack I'd just put him all in on the turn (if we don't raise flop)>
