      Hi,

It seems like I win almost no 3bet pots :s_cry:

Villain looks kinda fishy, kinda regular... not good that fo sure

he folds to cb 40% and has 2af bet 1/1 v missed bet

      Is this a giveup?
Is this a spot for a delayed cb?
Is this just a std spot and barrel on blank turns which don't improve his midpairs?

I'd checkback flop, and probably give up. Big part of his range could continue on this board (AQ/KQ/QJs/QTs/JJ/TT/99/88 etc.), so we have to barrel a lot of the times, and we doesnt really have equity for that. So I'd just wait for a better spot to put in a lot of money.

      Hi.

Preflop shuld be a call. I think he raises wide enough from mp and also he minraised which favours calling.

      For postflop pcf is right.
I cbet only with backdoor flushdraw.

      Thanks.

so is he a fish or a reg? His stats seem reggish to me, which was why I suggested calling AJ instead. I doubt you have thin value, given the starting positions, if he is not a fish.

You did not provide other stats, but extrapolating his tendencies from his VPIP/PFR/3Bet, I think he could easily have a high 4bet as well. And it wouldn't be nice if we 3bet and are forced to fold a hand as strong as AJ vs his somewhat loose opening range.

Hmmm had a smaller sample back then I guess :o But vs those stats indeed a call might be better although we can take initiative by 3betting?

We have position, so I think AJ is strong enough to call. In general when you want to 3bet, you should have a polarized range, meaning our hand should be mostly very strong or very weak. Having a "middle" hand like AJ doesn't make too much sense when our opponents are not going to call with too many worse hands.

I don't think it's necessary to seize the initiative with AJ. Just use a weaker hand as part of your 3bet bluffing range.
