Villains unknown, I'd usually fold vs one opponent but with the two and no action behind I am more likely to get paid if I hit, or its a -EV call in the long run?

      Hi Matt,

Preflop: Considering we have two opponents we do get better odds to set mine. The only problem is that we have a smaller pair which will result in more set over set scenarios where we lose.

The way we can look at this is that we invest another 5 BBs to potentially win a big pot. Even if we were to lose 7 out of 8 times it would be 5 * 7 = 35 BB. So if we make at least that much when we hit our set (on average) we will be in good shape. And with two people the chance to make that much grows.

Postflop: I like our raise/call on the flop and we got exactly what we were after and confirmed that our call is most likely +EV in the long run.

      Hi!

Should we look to fold 22/33 pre?

If we call the lower pairs in spots like this we should call all of them. There's no real difference between 22 and 44 here.
