UTG: \$3.36 - VPIP: 31, PFR: 0, 3B: 0, AF: 0,0, Hands: 29

Pre Flop: (\$0.07) Hero is BTN with 5 5
UTG calls \$0.05, CO calls \$0.05, Hero calls \$0.05, SB calls \$0.03, BB raises to \$0.30, 2 folds, Hero calls \$0.25, 1 fold

Flop: (\$0.75) 8 4 A (2 players)
BB bets \$0.50, Hero calls \$0.50 I expect him to CBET 100% here. The problem may be, that in his isolating range there are a LOT of aces?

Turn: (\$1.75) T (2 players)
BB checks, Hero? I was thinking about stealing here, but I'm not sure he even folds KK,QQ...

Hi Imimba,

Preflop: are we limping because of the stack sizes of our opponents? I think that on the BTN with 2 nits behind we can still raise it although it's not ideal. We can look at their limp/fold (or fold to cbet, especially for Co) before making a decision.

I think that preflop should be closer to a fold given the big raise and the fact that one fish is already out and the other fish is also short.

Postflop: Flop should be an instant fold.

A tighter BB at 19/14 will not raise 3 limpers with junk, especially 2 fishy ones with shorter stacks.

So just fold and save yourself the money.

As played villain can still have Ax hands and possibly some KK/QQ so if we bet turn we should plan to bet river and try to get him to fold TP. Or just check back and give up.

We've had a similar discussion in the past. Call 20 (or 15) applies to set mining only.

Guess what you did here? Not setmine because you called his flop cbet. So you actually added more to your hand and you will be losing more on average.

So because of that I'd say that rule of 20 does not apply 100% (and he doesn't have 5 * 20 behind, he has less than that ).

I come here to mix up the soup and tell, that f*ck call 20, if you have position. They hit 1/3, and any heart will scare him off, and if he bets again on blanco, he has prob. Ax. Floating, not a bad strategy on such a board, if he is a nit..
