      He instantly checked the flop, so i thought i'd take a stab at the turn as i thought his range was mostly Pocket pairs when he checks a flop with so many high cards.

      Preflop is good.

      On the flop I like checking. We can't make any better hands to fold, neither any worse to call and the worse ones (pocket pairs) would love to check down.

      As played, I prefer checking the turn as well.
      Can't really see what's the point of betting here? Is this for value? Or as a bluff?

      On the river check/folding is fine.
