BB checks, Hero bets $0.56, BB raises to $1.55, Hero calls $0.99 I was betting for value vs draws. I was pretty sure he has a FD, or something, calling the in the blinds. Something speculative. I honestly was betting for value here, expecting to win with A-high even if he calls and I dont improve. Or if he has a PP, he could fold it.

      BB bets $3.95, ...

      Hi Imimba,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I agree with your flop line but your turn play should be a check back or bet/fold.

BB has a chance to have a slowplay or Jx/Kx hands. There are some draws too but not enough to warrant a "value" bet.

      Why are you bet/calling?

And since we called to hit the flush can you do anything but call river?

Getting 25% pot odds on calling turn. Betting was a mistake, but calling is mandatory, isnt it?
Yeah, turn is check behind, I agree.?

So if calling turn is mandatory why do you question your river play? Or were you asking between call and shove there?

However, I disagree that calling is mandatory on this paired board. First, we don't get the immediate odds. Second we may have reverse implied odds. We may already be behind or not all of our outs are live.

So I would bet/fold given this scenario.

      Hi!

What about flop sizing? Personally, I would bet slightly more, like 0.32

I doubt that a larger bet will get us more fold equity given the players left to act. BB will play fit/fold regardless of the bet while the fish will most likely play his hand. But if we do have history with the reg and we don't want to be face up we should bet the same (about 2/3) with all of our range.
