Hand converted with online hand converter:

      $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      CO (Hero):

Preflop: Hero is CO with T, 9.
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.62, BU calls $0.62, 2 folds, BB folds.

      Flop: ($1.59) 8, 8, 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.80, BU raises to $2.25, Hero raises to $5.50, BU folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $3.84.

      he is unknown.
I didnt think he hit something on the flop like this,so I just raised.
      was it risky play?

      Hi Daisuke,

It's true that most people won't raise here for value and a lot try to bluff these paired boards.

Given that most people at 25nl aren't the greatest hand readers I think that our 3-bet is fine and it will work often, and we have some equity if called.

Once you play with better opponents you may actually get raised with pairs and then called down because we also don't represent a lot when 3-betting (after all most people expect us to call boats and strong 8x rather than 3 bet them).

I suggest that against unknown BTNs you don't open for 2.5 BB and give them a good price to play with you in position.
