EP villain is 59/3 over 40 hands

      UTG+2 ($2.26)
      MP1 ($4.92)
      CO ($7.15)

      Dealt to Hero T:club: T:spade:

      FLOP ($1.86) 9:spade: A:heart: T:heart:

BB checks, CO bets $0.88, BB calls $0.36 (AI)

      TURN ($2.58) 9:spade: A:heart: T:heart: Q:diamond:

      RIVER ($2.58) 9:spade: A:heart: T:heart: Q:diamond: 3:heart:

      CO shows K:heart: K:club: (Pre 72%, Flop 13.6%, Turn 13.6%)BB shows Q:spade: A:diamond: (Pre 28%, Flop 86.4%, Turn 86.4%)BB wins $2.46

Given COs stats and big raise on my EP open I folded...not sure though did I have good enough odds to try and set mine given we were both deep, BB jumped in with his short stack and EP could have maybe joined the pot if I called, and if I hit my set I am almost certain I would get paid off from a tight player like CO

St mining very marginal imo, what stakes are these? NL2 or nl5?

You need him to have 16 in front of him.

The way you will do it you need him to have 20 times the amount of raise.

If he is extremely aggro or extremely tight i take that down to 15 times.

On flop you must always raise in that spot.

You hit your set which is obv good, there is an ace on flop so you are getting value from so many aces and the board is wet, therefore we raise for value+protection.

As played I am def trying to get their stacks in the middle by the river.
      its nl4

I am not in the pot though :)
was just checking my preflop action

It's way too large to call. Even if you are almost 200bb deep, you should see that you are getting something like 1:10 odds to call. I don't like to call in such situations, and we are not necessarily guaranteed to stack him if we do hit our set (or we might even lose to higher sets).

Definitely an easy fold. Nice hand
