By following the chart it says to reraise with 99 against his raise, but I felt a push represents too strong? Was this the right action?

      Hello,

Against a shove and overshove our hand isn't good enough to call here, so I would fold and stack off with QQ+.

      Best,
      Plamen

      Thanks for the reply,

is there any literature or videos (at my level) to help deal with these situations as the MSS charts only cover "raise" which is what this technically is.

I understand your action is the best advised action but would like to read more on it to help if this similar situation comes through again.

Yeah, taking a view of more than one point is the best thing we can do and I can only congratulate you for your demand on doing this.

Unfortunately I can't really recommend you any literature (I don't read poker books) but I can advice you to check the MSS videos here in the site. They probably won't cover this specific theme since it is quite rare, but they are likely to help you a lot.
