      CO: $25.04 (50.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q:diamond: A:heart:
UTG calls $0.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to $2, SB folds, BB raises to $5.50, UTG folds, Hero calls $3.50

      Flop: ($11.75) J:spade: J:heart: T:spade: (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero

I get very confused when a player that cbets pretty much all the time checks. I tend to think they are trapping or so..

If someone cbets all the time I assume they start with cbetting all their good hands. If he checks I would always bet and make a note of it. If he checks to not fold, I know he doesn't cbet some stuff in his range and if he checks to raise I will assume he is likely to not cbet the top of his range, meaning it's time to stop folding against cbets.

In your specific situation you have some good showdown value too but without the info I like taking the opportunity and find out his reaction here with a still +EV bet imo.
