Preflop: Hero is BB with J J

      Flop: ($9.25) Q 2 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $5.50, Hero calls $5.50

      Turn: ($20.25) A (2 players)

      $20.25 pot ($0.91 rake)
      Final Board: Q 2 5 A 5
Hero mucked J J and lost (-$10 net)
BTN mucked and won $19.34 ($9.34 net)

I find these spots very hard to play without some specific read.

What is your default line? Should I be constructing a balanced range here checking some weak Qx,JJ-66, maybe even 22-55 since the board is so dry + some Ax hands and keep calling with the top of my range vs decently high barreling stats ?

I think that is a value line most of the time so i dont mind folding. Also when in doubt just revert to gametheory, call the top of ur range and fold the bottom of your range. I think we have many qx here which we can cc river with and we can fold JJ TT here.
