I just dunno whether this is a strong enough hand to call. Dunno what he's 3betting, but his range is definietly wide.

His 3bet from sb against Co wouldn't be as wide as when you are bu so I think his range is around 10%

Against that range I think AJ is marginal call and I would prefer to call AJs and 4bet the offsuit version as a bluff.

It's good to add in the strongest hands that you can't call with into your 4bet bluff range. This ensures your 4betting range is as strong as possible.

I think AJ becomes more of a call when his 3bet% is closer to 15-18% or more.

Isnt the most important thing, that he 3bets vy ms 33% of the time? (4/12)
I mean, this obviously means he has a very wide range, against which we are ahead. We also have position. This all would inclineme to call.

While he might 3bet you a lot it usually happens in the bu vs Co or sb vs bu or bb vs bu positions. A 3bet from the Sb while you are in the cut off indicates a stronger range and I don't think he's as wide.

Another thing you can consider is your own post flop skills and his aggressiveness on the flop and turn. Does he barrel once and give up? That's a good candidate for a call since we can showdown our hand or take him off better middle pocket pairs. Or does he keep up the aggression? Which means we might have to fold at some point or bluff him off his hand?
