Hi. I'm cbetting flop for value from pocket pairs. The turn is a scare card for my opponent. Should I bet or check? I might get a thin value on river if I show weakness on turn. Thanks

      Hey JohnDoe1313,

      Preflop/Flop is fine.

On the turn I would definitely just bet for value. Villain may have some floats AJ/AK/KJ, he may have a Qx, and he may have a Tx. All of which you might lose value against by not betting turn.

It's true you may get more money out of a hand like 88 by checking back the turn, but there is no guarantee, especially if river brings another overcard.

Just shove the money in on river. Villain is not folding Tx.
