Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 9:spade: 9:heart:

fold, MP raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, Hero raises to 9 BB, fold, MP raises to 24 BB, Hero raises to 246.3 BB and is all-in, MP calls 76 BB

      River: (201 BB, 2 players) 4:spade:

MP shows K:diamond: A:spade: (One Pair, Queens) (Pre 45%, Flop 42%, Turn 30%)

      1.2 k hands, 21/17,fold to 3bet 65, VPiP from MP 27. 4bet+ from MP 38%, from CO 60%, BU 33%, total 35%.

Is it ok to 3bet against him? 99 is nice hand, but OOP if I call I cant do much because he is aggro. Also I planned to shove to his 4bet, because he 4bets so often, and if he has AK, QQ+ I have 30% equity so I think it is +EV.

      Hi mla,

Preflop: why do we 3-bet so small OOP? 10-12 BB is what I'd make it in that spot.

I don't like 3-betting this hand unless we have some history and can go broke with it like you did.

Since he does 4-bet a lot, and I'm assuming our image is not tight, I think your line of 3-bet/shove is perfectly fine. We should expect to pick up the pot from him often and even when he doesn't fold we still have some equity. I think you should expect a loose guy like him to stack off JJ+, AK.
