      MP: $59 (118 bb)
      CO: $26.52 (53 bb)
      Hero (BTN): $50 (100 bb)
      SB: $50.75 (101.5 bb)
      BB: $50 (100 bb)
      UTG: $50 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 8 8
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.25, CO folds, Hero calls $1.25, 2 folds

      Flop: ($3.25) 5 9 9 (2 players)
MP bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50

      Turn: ($6.25) J (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $3, MP raises to $14, Hero calls $11

      River: ($34.25) A (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $33.25 and is all-in, MP calls $33.25

      $100.75 pot ($2 rake)
      Final Board: 5 9 9 J A
      MP showed A 3 and won $98.75 ($48.75 net)
Hero showed 8 8 and lost (-$50 net)

On the turn I thought that villain was playing back vs my very aggro floating style and I expected him to do this with mostly Ax hands.

When the river A I expected him to hit it but I thought I could make him fold it if I push because of the boats that are in my range.

On second thinking I can never know if he will fold an A here and he can also have some nut hands in his range, though with the check on the river it's hard to say.

The problem is you have boats or nothing in your range usually imo. Plus, given your bet sizes, youd don't have boats that often. When both players are taking silly lines, you just can't make a solid analysis, it's too much of a dynamic situation so we have to go into that.

What hands have you seen with him previously? What does he know about you? How do you think he perceives you? Any previous hands between you too?
