Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      BU:
      $17.27
      SB:
      $19.66
      BB (Hero):
      $10.46
      MP2:
      $8.14
      MP3:
      $25.40
      CO:
      $12.18

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, K.
      MP2 folds, MP3 raises to $0.30, 3 folds, Hero raises to $1.00, MP3 calls $0.70.

      Flop: ($2.05) Q, A, 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.15, MP3 folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $2.05.

this is a pretty standard hand but i'm just curious about what i would do here vs a raise. i'd fold...

villain is an unknown - 50/50 over 3 hands.

if i get raised i'm thinking my range is pretty strong for 3betting and then cbetting on this flop, so i should snap fold since he most likely hit a set or 2pair - even though it's not many combos, he also isnt bluffing much if he raises here so it just sucks.

but on the other hand i have TPTK + backdoor SD in a 3bet pot so is it so bad to go broke?

      Hello,

Usually I would just bet/fold on the flop here. I don't think people would bluff on this board, and they will rarely raise a hand like AJ or so, so once we get raised we are likely to be behind here.

      Best,
      Plamen
