Hi I recently played a hand that hit on the turn and I would like to have it evaluated to see if I can extract more value from it next time. Thanks

      MP3: $2 (100 bb)

      BTN: $2.81 (140.5 bb)
      SB: $2 (100 bb)
      BB: $2.75 (137.5 bb)
      MP1: $2.83 (141.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 5 5

      Flop: ($0.35) A 9 K (4 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks, MP3 checks, Hero checks

      Turn: ($0.35) 5 (4 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks, MP3 checks, Hero bets $0.20, 3 folds

      Results:
      $0.35 pot ($0.01 rake)
      Final Board: A 9 K 5
MP3 mucked and lost (-$0.08 net)
      Hero mucked 5 5 and won $0.34 ($0.26 net)
BB mucked and lost (-$0.08 net)
MP1 mucked and lost (-$0.08 net)

How should I act on the turn and river? Should I have also made a continuation bet?

      Hi Rich,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I don't mind checking back the flop since there are 2 people that checked to the PFR and they can have a piece of the board.

As played we want to try and valuebet the turn and get called by gutshots, fds, Kx or some rare Ax. I think that checking back would be a mistake and betting around 1/2 is perfect.

I think you played it fine and next time we should continue betting the same.

As a side note, once you leave a reply, please hit the "advise judge to take another look" button.

      Best regards,

      Bogdan
