      Hi,

This is a bit out of character for me and probably not recommended but just wondered if this play is okay against a massive fish playing 56/20?

I understand it is probably high variance play but working on the theory that I have over 50% equity against his range here am I okay to get it all in pre?

      Thanks,
      Zach

I think you should consider 4-betting smaller (or to fold pre). Button could have a wide range, and he has an easy decision here; he can call strong hands and give up trash. And 88 is a bit too weak to 4-bet here with this many players to act.

Frustration session tonight as I've had a few losing sessions. Maybe I should hit a punch bag instead of shoving my cash over the line to relieve stress next time.

      Thanks.

      Hi.

To justify shoving 88 here you'll either need him to have a really wide 3b range, or you need him to stack off some worse pairs occasionally. I prefer it with 99/TT, at least you are dominating more mid pairs.

Do you know anything about his 3b numbers? 56/20 means that he's really loose, but it doesn't necessarily mean that his 3b range is really wide.

      Thanks.
