3 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, SB raises to $0.70, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.50 I dunno whether to 4b for value, or call and play IP vs a possibly wide induced range. He could spew a lot more with his weak range postflop. Preflop he'd just fold the junk, wouldnt he?

      Flop: ($1.50) 9 :club: J :club: J  (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.71, SB raises to $9.30, Hero folds

against unknown i think its fine to just 4bet for value, the assumption of an unknown is that hes a fish and usually he 3bets maybe something like 8% which we can 4bet for value against.

we want to call against a wide 3betting range but unknown is usually not likely to have it.

on the flop i think its a bet/call. i dont think the J is check raising, he would prefer to check/call on flop and maybe pull a checkraise for value on turn and river, that's their idea of value. more likely he has something like TK or 7 :club: 8 :club: or A :club: 5 :club: flush draw hand.

1)How can you assume that unknown is fish? Fish is rares than regs.

      2) You say we want to call vs wide range. What is wide in your opinion?

if hes a reg you would have stats on him, unless you are new at this limit, so we can just assume unknown = passive fish that calls draws and pairs and check raises nuts.

wide i would say... >30% if you want a number. something you are not afraid of calling 2-3 streets of CB against him. something you think if he checks and calls you you still can value bet against him 2-3 streets. something wide enough such that when a K hits you still can call 2 streets of bets against.
