Full Tilt, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, Rush, 6 Players

      Hero (BB): $25 (100 bb)
      UTG: $16.46 (65.8 bb)
      MP: $19.90 (79.6 bb)
      CO: $25.15 (100.6 bb)
      BTN: $29.11 (116.4 bb)
      SB: $25.63 (102.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5 6
UTG raises to $0.50, MP calls $0.50, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.25

      Flop: ($1.60) A 8 7 (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.70, MP calls $0.70, Hero calls $0.70

      Turn: ($3.70) 9 (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $1, MP calls $1, Hero raises to $4.50, UTG calls $3.50, MP folds

      River: ($13.70) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $10.80, UTG calls $10.76 and is all-in

      $35.22 pot ($1.76 rake)
      Final Board: A 8 7 9 8
      Hero showed 5 6 and won $33.46 ($17 net)
UTG mucked K A and lost (-$16.46 net)

Villains unknown but could be fishy (based on stack sizes and preflop action).

Preflop: I feel like a fish playing passively oop, but surely I can't fold for these odds ($0.25 to see a flop of $1.60)?

Flop: no point donking or check/raising imo because I expect at least one villain to have an A, so I have very little fold equity. But I have the odds to call to hit.

      Turn: x/r for value.

River: ugly that the board pairs, but the turn action does not look like anyone had a set. I can't fold here, so I shove because (i) a FH is getting all my money anyway and (ii) I want to get value from Ax and not let them check behind.

      Hey member001,

Preflop call is fine. Both UTG + MP don't have full stacks, probably weak opponents. You get good direct odds, and have good implied odds.

I agree with your comments about flop, no point check/raising here. In general you want to play your draws passively against a lot of types of fish anyway.

Turn raise for value is fine. You don't have the nuts of course, but can definitely get called by worse, and want to protect your hand multiway.

8 is not a good card, but you can likely get called by worse on the river, especially since UTG is probably a fish. Hand is well played imo.
