Full Tilt, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, Rush, 6 Players

      CO: $12.09 (48.4 bb)
      BTN: $8.89 (35.6 bb) 38/27(37h)
      SB: $28.37 (113.5 bb)
      BB: $38.51 (154 bb) 17/8 (76h)
      Hero (UTG): $42.37 (169.5 bb)
      MP: $25 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T A
Hero raises to $0.75, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.75, 2 folds

      Flop: ($1.85) 7 T Q (2 players)
      Hero checks, BTN checks

      Turn: ($1.85) A (2 players)
Hero bets $1.30, BTN calls $1.30

      River: ($4.45) J (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1.75, Hero calls $1.75

      Results:
      $7.95 pot ($0.39 rake)
      Final Board: 7 T Q A J
      BTN showed Q Q and won $7.56 ($3.76 net)
Hero mucked T A and lost (-$3.80 net)

Preflop: ATs probably too loose to open UTG with a loose shortstack on BTN?

Flop: no cbet because no better hands will fold, but I intend to bluffcatch 1-2 streets with my decent middle pair (depending on runout).

Turn: turn 2pair on wet board, bet for value/protection

River: I think my x/c is horrible. Flush beats me, any Kx beats me. Even though it is less than half pot, I'm never good here. In fact the small size makes it even less likely to be a bluff because no-one bluffs for this sizing. If he has one pair he will check behind anyway. I should have x/f.

      Hey member001,

Having loose players in position on you is a pretty good reason to tighten up under the gun. I don't hate your open, but folding is definitely an option.

Sometimes flop might be a cbet for value, it really depends on opponent. Usually vs a shortstacker I would take a pot control line here unless you are committed, so I think a check is good.

Turn, I like the bet. You protect your hand and can get called by worse. Assuming river is a blank you should probably bet river for thin value also.

Given he had QQ J possibly saved you money. I think what you are saying about his bet-sizing is true, he's probably never bluffing here.

There is a small chance he's betting a worse 2pair if he's a bad player, but I think most of the time you will be beat here and can find a fold.
