Turn b/f was better than river c/c because he might bet too large?

Or check flop would be fine?

Flop we can bet for value against Broadway middle pair and Q and worse A.

How is his river aggression like? What is his bet vs missed cb like? Against a fish I would usually err on the side of betting which is to bet for value on the turn against Broadway rather than to bluffcatch the river. I assume they are usually passive willing to call wide but only bet with good hands.

However if you have reason to believe he does not call so wide on the turn but has the tendency to bluff rivers then check turn and call river is fine. He could bet busted Broadway.
