what's the best way to approach this situation? i.e. we have a hand we would isolate with and we face a minraise + a call. how should these variables change our range and action? vs relatively unknown villains, do we treat them as a limps and isolate our normal range, or do we squeeze with a wider value range (but not as wide as our isolation range)?

When facing a minraise and a call I would definitely consider 3betting wider, but not as wide as I would isolate here.
In this specific case, I would just call here. We have the button, both villains look fishy, they have 70+bb and we have a suited ace which can overflush them quite often, so calling looks reasonable to me.

As played, definitely check this flop. It hits his calling range pretty good so we have very low fold equity here.
