Trying to get money into Skrill, but I find this complicated as due to Canadian policies with gambling. Does anyone from Canada know of a good way to get the money in? Are there some weird pre-paid credit cards I don't know about?

I contacted customer support, and they told me to try another method..but they were both blocked by the same issue.

      Hey Chowchow12,

I'll ask one of our team to see if he can assist you here. He is Canadian also :)

      Regards,

      Hi Chowchow12,
      I used a wire transfer.

The method is not at all obvious, and the information Skrill provides did not seem complete.

Also, the bank details I used seem to no longer be on their page.
(I had to use a bank in Germany)

When logged in to Skrill, Click on "Upload Funds"

Choose the payment method "Bank Transfer"
When you do, some bank details appear. Don't use these.
On the right is a link "alternative options". Click it.
Choose CAD -- the IBANs change depending on currency.
I suppose you could upload in any currency.

      The SWIFT code listed is:
      BOFAGB22
      If you check this page:
      http://www.theswiftcodes.com/united-kingdom/
You can see that this confirms that bank name.
The XXX on the web page indicates that this is the head office, and code being only 8 characters indicates that the SWIFT code is for the main office.
see here: http://www.theswiftcodes.com/countries-13/ for a breakdown of the fields of the SWIFT code.

I recommend that you follow the links as described -- Skrill may want people in different provinces to use different SWIFT and IBAN codes -- I have no idea.

Take the collected information to your own bank.
You will need your Skrill customer number from the Skrill Bank Transfer page.

When I did it, they also needed the address of the bank itself.
      Midway down this page:
      http://www.thebankcodes.com/swift_code/r.php?cs=y&cv=LONDON&page=21
      You can see it.

Note that wire transfer is not something that can be done by the customer.

If you need any more, add me on the community tool, and we can communicate privately.

When I did my transfer, in "other information" I put "for gaming purposes"

      All the best,

I only uploaded through Skrill the first time I deposited. Once I had SWIFT and my unique ID number, I now transfer direct from my bank through Internet banking. It's a little quicker (about 40 hours compared to 3 days).

      Hi Lazza61
      That sounds perfect !
Is that through a Canadian bank?

I had a look at my bank's website before I posted that, and I still do not have the means to do that myself.
