villains are bad, but other than that they are pretty unknown. the CO seems a little crazy. imo all my options suck in this situation and i didn't know what to do. my call otf is terrible but i just planned to call down and hope he barrels off with something like AT. once it gets shipped on and called im pretty sure im screwed so i just folded.

      Hey DrDunne,

Preflop is fine assuming CO/SB has low Ft3bet.

SBs pot-sized donk into a multi-way 3bet pot is very strong. I'd just fold flop. Not a big deal to fold an overpair here imo.

After you call, CO minraises and SB overcalls you only need like 19% equity, but you are usually pretty crushed so folding is good.

would you say that shipping the flop is better than calling? and folding is better than shipping as you said...

      Not necessarily.

That really depends on SB's range. If you are a dog vs his range shoving for value is going to be -EV. So it'd actually be better to flat turn (you don't need to be a favourite to call with odds) and hope a turn card falls which slows villain down. You also get some info about CO this way.

If you knew that SB's calling range vs a raise would have <50% equity vs you then shoving would be good. However if this was the case I would have recommended you shove as opposed to fold. If you felt that SB was actually very crazy and very wide, then jam.

Given that you probably have no fold equity and if we assume you are a dog vs SB's range, flatting is actually a better option than jamming.
