      Is it ok check call river? Also to balance? I would fold unimproved.

      It's marginal to call OOP starting from preflop but doable. On the flop, you just have to bluffcatch and I think folding river is bad on blanks because he should barrel often on xxxBx (B=broadway) to make you fold exactly midpair type hands like you have. You would fold your overs on the flop so you are left with a very weak range on the river. If he is good enough to see this, he always bets turn and river, never just turn so you have to call river as well 100% of the time on blanks.
