      I call because he cbets flop 50%, I guess when he checks he probably gives up, but I am not sure if my assumption is ok.

      I think fold or sometimes 4-bet is better option. T8s is too marginal and are too often dominated. If you don´t want to turn you hard into bluff then checking down is fine. He would likely fold 9x and better 8x hands if you bet 33bb on the river. But since information also counts then check back is fine you have enough showdown value
