      Hi Cooper,

      Welcome to the evaluation forum.

Preflop: We can also consider 3-betting for value here even though he is UTG.

Postflop: Why do we overbet the river? Do you think you have extra fold equity versus hands that check/call like 99 or TT?

I think that if he is folding them a 2.5 bet is enough. I feel that at these limits your overbet shove on the river will not work enough to warrant the bluff (and backdoor flush got there too in case he ck/calls AQcc type hands).

As a side note, when you leave a reply, please hit the "advise judge to take another look" button.

I thought about 3betting but he was folding close to 90% so decided to call behind especially as there were passive players in the blinds. Yer I think overbet shove is overkill here and unnecessary. Do you think betting turn here is OK then? And do you prefer betting flop or xing to get to showdown?

Betting turn to get him to fold small pairs and AK type hands is fine. It's not the greatest card but we have some FE versus part of his range.

Since we are IP we can't really ck/raise the flop or are you referring to him (and his play)?

No I was referring to try and check it down and get to showdown on the flop. It also might force villain to play his hand face up on the turn but obviously it will also reduce our fold equity drastically.

In summary do you think triple barrel here is correct then? Just that the third barrel doesn't need to be an overbet?

At these limits I think that the third barrel is not necessary at all. Chances are he doesn't call just two streets and will call river too especially since his range is mostly 99+ and slowplays.

So I would give up after the turn.

I think that betting is better than just checking because worse can call (on flop) and better can fold.
