Stealing with trash

Say I have 7-14bb left. Say I play to get deeper into tournament. Say I have a tight image and haven't acted for last...say 3 orbits. Say players in blinds are tight. Say everyone folds, I'm on BTN.

Should I steal with any two cards by shoving?

given the scenario that the blinds are tight i would say that its almost a standard shove from the btn. definitely if u have 7-10blinds, if i have 13-15 i would excude some hands from my shoving range that are not that playable
like 8-2o 9-3o etc. however if the blinds are more looser and have a wider calling range i would narrow down my shoving range to any queen, king, ace suited, any pairs and suited connectors such as ,78,89

      It depends!

If the situation is as you described it you may push fairly wide. However there is a big difference between a 14BB stack (which is still good for resteals etc) and a 7BB stack (where the fold equity in future spots gets kinda thin).

The shorter you are the more you can push. With 14BB you should have at least some equity in your hand or a blocker. F.e. Ax, 87s etc.
A good range might look like this:
      22+, A2s+, K3s+, Q5s+, J7s+, T7s+, 97s+, 87s, 76s, A2o+, K9o+, Q9o+, J9o+, T9o

With 7BB you can push way more. A range should look like this (which is 65% of your range):
      22+, A2s+, K2s+, Q2s+, J4s+, T6s+, 95s+, 85s+, 75s+, 64s+, 53s+, 43s, 32s, A2o+, K2o+, Q4o+, J6o+, T7o+, 97o+, 86o+, 76o, 65o, 54o

Still it's not an any two push imo. At least not from the button (though it might be one from the SB).
