      Hi Confidant,

Preflop: It's a bit of a weak call here with A9o versus a regular thats a bit shorter. I'd prefer to just fold this OOP.

Postflop: He seems really aggro so far and he opened the BTN so I would let him cbet. We really only have a bluffcatcher and we can't play for stacks on the flop. So if we donk and get raised, whats your plan?

As played turn is very thin (betting into him). What was the goal of the bet?

preflop i called cause i thought that if i fold A9o than my defending range is quite tight or arent we exploitable if we fold here?... On turn i bet for value form 9x and draws, but you are right that it is probably better to let him bet with his AF.

When we call preflop we first have to think about how plus ev the play can be and how we can play it posftlop. We shouldn't worry about balance at 10nl and while our hand is ahead of parts of his range we generally have troubles playing hands like this OOP (they rarely hit equity on flops).

Plus chances are you won't play enough with villain to worry about balance, he will never know what you folded preflop and what your "true" range is there.
