      Hi! BU unknown

What do you think of my river line?

Thought about just betting for value, but I think he most likely folds 88 99 7x & busted draws so I planned to let him bluff.
Once I check, If I assume hes bluffing missed draws & has a very narrow value range of 76 66 77, I figure there is no point in value shoving river.

      BTN: $60.60 (242.4 bb)
      SB: $17.79 (71.2 bb)
      BB: $29.01 (116 bb)
      Hero (UTG): $40.98 (163.9 bb)
      MP: $12.50 (50 bb)
      CO: $32.33 (129.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 4 4
Hero raises to $0.75, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.75, 2 folds

      Flop: ($1.85) 4 6 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.25, BTN calls $1.25

      Turn: ($4.35) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.25, BTN calls $3.25

      River: ($10.85) J (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $8, Hero calls $8

      $26.85 pot ($1.21 rake)
      Final Board: 4 6 7 6 J
      BTN showed 7 7 and won $25.64 ($12.39 net)
Hero mucked 4 4 and lost (-$13.25 net)

      Hey Danny,

      Nice to see you back!

Your perceived preflop range won't hit that board too often and you also check/fold a lot. I would consider checking as PFR here, expecting stabs to happen quite often.

On the river I think you have more value in betting against all his pairs. Trips call anyway and I don't think he can have that many bluffs that actually bet. He has only a few busted flushdraws imo.

Depends on style, flop is really not that good for utg. But vs I unknown I'm inclined to just cbet all my strong hands, because I don't care about balance vs him.
Also I think check river vs unknown is equal to value losing. Just bet not that match 1\2 - 2\3 as our standard line.

c/c is not a good option here unless you know that guy is an absolute maniac and will always fire 3 when checked to.

so many bad cards could come on the Turn or river. if you want to c/c Flop you should almost always c/r blank Turns. Anyway I think c/r is a very good alternative to betting, especially if villain has a high Flop bet vs missed cbet %.
