      Hand 2
Please find the following hand for analysis:
I wake up with AKs in MP. UTG raises 4X (8cents) and I 3bet big to 26 cents. Everybody folds and UTG raises to 80 cent. In the heat of the moment I call and on a 5cjc9s board the villain bets 75% pot. I fold.

What I know about the villains:
At the time the hand was played I had 131 hands on villain (15/14, 10% 3bet and 80% fold to 3bet). After later analysis I found that PFR EP is 0% (31 opportunities). Evidence about 2bet and 4bet raises AKs in a steal attempt. From behind the desk I conclude that villain must have AA, KK or AK and maybe QQ,JJ.

      • Should I have shoved preflop
      • Should I have called on the flop

      Please give me your thoughts.

      Hey Barlin63,

When UTG open raises and you hold AK, the best play is usually to flat. 3 betting AK is normally fine, but only against later positions.

Vs 4bet AK is actually pretty crushed, best option should be to fold preflop in this spot. The only reason you'd stack off with AK here is if UTG was a huge fish, and his stats so far suggest this is not the case.
