      villain is a huge fish 34/28/8.3 AF:3.45 ftcb:1/6, fttb:0/3 wtsd:15

      tricky river

      1) all his JT/QT/QdJx,flopped flushes beat me now
      2) not sure if he would bet the river with a pair+busted FD, smthg like Ad6x, AdJx, if he c's them back then im basically only bluffcatching vs the lone Ad/Kd which dont have a pair, and thats a pretty narrow range
      3) could he bet the river with some PT hands like AdQx, KdQx, Qd9x?? I think its pretty thin.... maybe AQ, maybe.... but he probably 3bets it pre bvb

seeing his retarded flop float drawing to 4 outs which might not even be live and obv sucking out, tilted me so much i had to quit the session :f_mad:

      Hey Zumpar,

As general strategy, betting two on monotone board and bluff-catching the river is going to be decent.

In this particular case, even thought FD misses, the board just runs out so horribly that I think check/folding is good. As you mention, even some A:dx hands have a pair which further complicates things since it likely lowers villains aggression frequency with worse hands and makes him more likely to check back his showdown value.

You will occasionally check/fold vs a busted A, but I think vs villains overall range it's the best play.

just curious, if KK is a fold here, then A:diamond: Ax is probably an anbolute snapfold right?
the relative handstregth is even worse than KK since i cant even bluffcatch vs Ad obv, and also i block most of his AxQd combos he might vbet thinly with... right?

Yeah, I agree with what you are saying.

Also I think a lot of players wouldn't value-bet AQ anyway here. J completes a lot of straights/2pairs, + bricked diamond draws are not calling anyway. And stuff that they might ordinarily bluff with like K:dJ might check back rather than bluff because of rivered showdown value.
