The villain is a huge fish and is playing with stats 70/8/in 40 hands.

      SB ($7.33)
      BB ($9.70)
      Hero ($9.63)
      UTG+1 ($10.15)
      CO ($9.49)
      BTN ($8.23)

      Dealt to Hero A:club: J:diamond:

Hero raises to $0.30, fold, fold, BTN calls $0.30, fold, fold

      FLOP ($0.75) 4:club: 4:heart: A:spade:

Hero bets $0.55, BTN calls $0.55

      TURN ($1.85) 4:club: 4:heart: A:spade: J:spade:

Hero bets $1.40, BTN calls $1.40

      RIVER ($4.65) 4:club: 4:heart: A:spade: J:spade: 7:spade:

      Hero bets $7.38 (AI)

What do you think about the overbet on the river against this type of player? I thought that since he called 2 big bets with no draws on the board (except the flush draw which I don't think he could have here) he almost always has an ace which he is never folding.

      Hey Acetbfish,

I don't like overbet river here. Even if villain has an Ace, he is not necessarily going to call vs over-bet on flush river. On the other hand it's not impossible he floated flop with a hand like Q:sK and hit back-door flush, or flopped it with A4s, or hit jacks full on turn.

I think best river option here is just to make a standard sized bet, possibly even slightly smaller maybe around $2.20
