villain is 18/15 over 100 hands. previously i saw him open in SB vs me and check fold a Q-x-xr flop so my thinking is he isn't cbet bluffing a ton. and on this board he has a value hand.

my main question is how to play on different rivers... on this river i fold regardless of it being a blank because i doubt he 3barrels light and i dont see what weaker hands i beat.

what if river was J  or even J :diamond: or something. how do we play?

      thanks

      Hello,

Preflop calling is a little bit close.

As played preflop, flop and turn are good.

On the river, without any reads, I don't think he value bets worse hands here, and I can hardly see enough draws in his range (plus we don't know whether or not he bluffs the river with a busted draw), so I'm folding pretty much any river here especially if the river is Jh/Jd.

      Best,
      Plamen

i don't understand how calling can be close here because if he's check/folding a ton of flops then it's going to show great profit to call extremely wide and just bet IP when he doesn't cbet?

also when i do hit my TP will be good some of the time vs AJ or KQ...

So, how could you tell that he's check/folding a lot when you have only this BVB note.
This situation here is completely different - while in BVB his cbets won't be as profitable as in this spot where he raises from UTG (because his range in UTG is stronger), so he could bluff us more effectively.
Also, from my personal experience, people don't go crazy with hands like KQ/AJ when they hit just top pair against regs.
Overall, if we call this I prefer to have a plan for postflop about how to take the pot.

Much rather prefer a 3bet here than a call.
