      Hi,
      UTG 56/19/19hands
      BU 21/17/6.7 reg
      SB unknown

      Passive flop line better?
I didn't really mind inflating the pot since I have decent equity vs most hands.
Once the fish c/r I considered calling purely for the odds, but it didn't seem doable with two players behind, one of which was a short stack.

I think fishes c/r range is something like:
      http://www.pokerstrategy.com
      Board: Ah9h8c
      Equity Win Tie
      MP2 44.46% 44.46% 0.00% { 7h6h }
      MP3 55.54% 55.54% 0.00% { 99-88, A9s-A8s, 98s }

I'm ok with getting it in vs this range with the dead money.
Esp if I add in a few spew hands like Ax
Also not worried about the short stack since I don't think he's that strong.

      BTN: $25 (100 bb)
      SB: $15.28 (61.1 bb)
      BB: $17.85 (71.4 bb)
      UTG: $26.66 (106.6 bb)
      MP: $11.72 (46.9 bb)
      Hero (CO): $41.06 (164.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7 6
UTG calls $0.25, MP folds, Hero raises to $1, BTN calls $1, SB calls $0.90, BB folds, UTG calls $0.75

      Flop: ($4.25) A 8 9 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $2.75, BTN calls $2.75, SB calls $2.75, UTG raises to $7, Hero raises to $40.06 and is all-in, 2 folds, UTG calls $18.66 and is all-in

      Turn: ($61.07) 2 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
      River: ($61.07) 3 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

      Results:
      $61.07 pot ($2.00 rake)
      Final Board: A 8 9 2 3
BTN mucked and lost (-$3.75 net)
SB mucked and lost (-$3.75 net)
      UTG showed 9 9 and won $59.07 ($32.41 net)

      Hi Danny,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: You say that you are ok with getting in because of the dead money.

But is the money really dead? That implies that you think you have Fold Equity versus his ck/raise which I doubt we ever do.

Thus we need to risk 22.91 to win ~61 which means that we only need about 37% equity before rake.

And even against the strongest of ranges we have more than that so your shove is not terrible. Of course any FE or extra people in the pot can add to our overall Ev.

      Thank you :)
Would you rather take my flop line over a passive one?
Also after we get c/raised there's no getting away though right?

Yes, we want to bet out our strong draw there and once we get raised we have enough equity to just ship it there. And anything that he folds just adds to our overall profitability.
