      Hey TommyGecko,

      I think this hand is fine.

      The texture is not good for raising, its pretty dry on the flop, and turn 5 doesn't necessarily hit villain that hard. There is also the distinct possibility your 7 is outkicked when villain overbets the flop.

      Given how villain played his Jx I think you would likely have extracted value from him with a raise, but vs his entire range and given that we know relatively little about his tendencies calling down is the best option.

      Of course, if you'd seen this villain making questionable plays in the past, you should definitely raise, probably the turn. Trips = nuts.
