:) My question regarding this hand is did I make the correct play with a made hand in this situation, or with a draw heavey board, should I check the turn?

      Known players:

      0.5/1 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.58 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A:club: , J:diamond:
      3 folds, MP2 calls $1.00, 3 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, MP2 calls $3.00.

        ahead 65:35

      Flop: ($8.50) A:heart: , Q:diamond: , 9:heart: (2 players)
      Hero bets $6.00, MP2 calls $6.00.

        behind 55:45

      Turn: ($20.50) 4:club: (2 players)
      Hero bets $10.00 (All-In), MP2 calls $10.00.

        ahead 65:35

      River: ($40.50) K:heart:

      Final Pot: $40.50

      Results follow (highlight to see):

MP2 shows a flush, ace high (Jh Th)

MP2 wins with a flush, ace high (Jh Th)

By checking on the Turn, you give him a free card so you don't want to do that.

Any heart, and possible 1 of the broadway cards that is not on the board yet is dangerous for you.
      So that makes 4 + 4 + 4 + 9 = 21 cards you don't really want to see thus:
21/46 = 45% of the cards you don't want to see.

You only need like 24% equity to be profitable with your push so guess well played.

[Edit] remove results and ''ahead with the odds'' as it can change people's judgement about your hand ;)

      Hi SecurityDrew,

raise 5$ preflop, flopbet is fine push turn also. You cant just look at this 1 hand from mp2, against his range your play is absolutely right. He should re raise the flop and played the hand just badly.

      Best Regards
