      Hello,

      Raise 5bb preflop.

As played, flop is not the best here, but we can still cbet and use our fold equity.

Once we get called and another diamond hits, I'd just check/fold.

      Best,
      Plamen

Does fold equity mean that there is a good chance that he is folding since we raised preflop?

Fold equity means the chance of him folding against a bet.

For example, lets say we know that our opponent has either 33 (6 combos) or A5s (3 combos), and we know that he is folding with the 3's and calling with the A5.
So, if we bet 12 cents in a pot of 16, we need him to fold in 12/28 = 42.86% of the times. As we know, he is folding with 6 combos, out of his whole range which includes 6+3=9 combos, so we have 6/9 = 67% fold equity.

So, as we can see, our fold equity is bigger than what we need, so we can successfully cbet here only using our fold equity.

Wow, i don't know where to start. i've never heard the word "combo" in the use of poker before. So i don't understand almost nothing about what you said, wich is sad because i really apprecite your good detailed answers. If you could please try to define it better? if you can. I don't know. Explain it like im retarded or something :)

      Well,

Combo comes from combination. So, when I refer to 6 combos, it means 6 combinations.
For example a pocket pair like 22 has 6 different combinations (it could easily be proven my some simple maths, but I would rather right it there.

Is there anything that left misunderstood here?
