Thought villain reps a very narrow value range on flop of 88, QQ although on reflection I also think he could play KK and QQ in the same way. Once I called on the flop I think turn call is standard but I think I have to fold river, shove is polariseed in aggro games but at these stakes, readless I think this is nearly always a set.

I would bet higher on the flop (1.3). Small size of cbet may provoke him to raise. I I think that calling such a big size bet on river is not good.

      Hey cooperman45,

Preflop is possibly ok. Deep vs unknown it might be better to flat and keep the pot smaller. We don't have a decent reason to believe he is calling 3bet out of position with worse that often.

With no info, you should fold to flop raise. It's also fine to check back the flop, especially when deep, pot-control becomes way more important.

Calling flop does not always mean you need to call river. Some villains will check/raise flop as bluff then shut down on turn. However given we have no info on any of this, there is really no decent reason to get involved in a huge pot with a marginal hand.
