Preflop: Hero is BB with J:diamond: , J:spade:
      MP2 folds, MP3 raises to $1,00, 3 folds, Hero calls $0,75.

      Flop: ($2,10) Q:heart: , J:club: , 3:diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $1,25, Hero calls $1,25.

      Turn: ($4,60) 9:spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $2,25, Hero raises to $6,25, MP3 folds.

Could have hero extracted more value from his hand? Hero checked the turn since he was sure that villain would make the second barrel and then he must have protected his hand against a possible straight.

      Yes.
3-bet pf. 21/18 would open raise a large amount and he would probably also call with a lot of hands
c/r flop. If he has Qx or overpair, you want to get all the money in the pot. c/r flop is get called more often than c/r turn.
