Pretty hard to put someone like this on a range, was just trying to get some value from his A hands and random pairs which I think is fine?

When he donks river I'm pretty sure that I'm beat but don't think folding is an option given pot odds?

I think call is bad. I would more likely 4bet-fold here or just fold and waited a bit for more appropriate situation. As played, I think, postflop is OK, but hand is hardly dominated so you have made a huge mistake preflop.

      Hi Mill,

Preflop: I'm assuming this is the first 3-bet so generally I put these guys on strong ranges until we know more. So preflop we can call mostly to hit stronger draws or 2p+

As played I think that the river it's close between a fold and a call because this line is one of two things: block bet or valuebet. We don't beat any value hands and I can't see many hands other than some JJ block betting. However he does give us decent pot odds.
