I'm squeezing pre cause it's a little bit too weak to call and I think there's a decent chance they'll fold. I check back on the flop because I didn't think he'd call a lot worse, but I think now I should've bet. Ugly river is easy fold?

      Hey RiverDiver,

Preflop squeeze looks good. Of course it's great if you have Ft3bet info, but in this case you have a limited sample of hands.

It's probably ok to bet the flop for protection. Theoretically checking back is fine because you have a decent bluff-catcher - but there are plenty of bad turn cards where it's going to be very tough to bluff-catch. Betting may simply make the hand easier to play.

After double-check from villain, betting the turn is definitely good. There is a strong likelihood villain would bet the turn with a hand better than yours unless specifically JJ.

River should be an easy fold - doesn't really matter that villain showed up with 5 high here.
